This is a contest to try to make your readers laugh as hard as they can with either outrageous situations or subtle humor, or anything that ranges in between.

Requirements:
1: Must be a complete short story (beginning, middle, and end) which means under 10000 words(no minimum), but you can go a little over but don't push it.
2. You can either put your story up here when you are finished or mail it to a judge (Hopefully i might get people to help me.)
3. It has to be at least a little original, nothing too common like high school students who get laid, but it can be that as long as you make it original.
4. Have fun.

Um... I don't know about prizes, but I guess for now we'll call it the pride of a job well done and a victory but that's very liable to change.

One final thing, is there anyone who would like to share the position of being a judge? really anyone? Ok let the contest begin.

P.S. Ends at the end of next month, February 28

P.S.S Will be Judged not only on how funny it is but on how original, how well written, and the risk of the type of comedy that you chose. Some are harder to write than others.

P.S.S.S This is from TW, where I put it up as well

EDIT: Formats of story allowed: Story format or Scripts. Not Allowed: Poetry or Lyrics

Join now comedians!

Contestants:
Andy
Crocolyle (Story submitted)
Carraka
DiAna (Story Submitted)

Judges:
GeorgeMichael
Nyx

If anyone is wondering, my boyfriend's internet is the absolute worst piece of shit in existence, and it causes my computer to slow down significantly anytime I enter the Chatroom. It also causes the chatroom to freeze anyway, so it's a bit futile to attempt to log in while I'm at his place.

Time for anoter satire story, it seems. I'm interested.

Two things:

1. Are you holding this contest seperately on two different sites? Or will people at YWO be competing with people at TW?

2. I'd be much more willing to do this if it didn't start and end on the same dates as NaNo. Could you postpone the deadline, perhaps?

I'm gonna talk to Shaun about possibly letting people make contests and offer points as awards. In the meantime, you can always buy stuff from the bookstore and the donate them to the winners.

Interesting, competing with TW. That's a very interesting idea, and yeah I understand, I want to do Nanowrimo as well therefore this contest just became a lot longer hence the deadline is New Years Eve (December 31st)

As of now it is only within this site but if enough people are interested (because on TW i have more contestants and judges) then I will make it between both sites.

I'm not much of a comedy writer...hence I can never make people laugh -sigh-
But I'd love to help out as a judge... would that work?

Two things:

Are you able to sub,it things you've written beforehand if they fit the qualifications and have never appeared on this site?

Do we send it to Andy via e-mail, via PM, or do we post it somewhere?

I'd like to compete, especially since the deadline was just extended.

It can have a fantasy element too, with the return of...

BubbleGal and BubbleMan!!!

Of course it can have fantasy elements in it, it can be a parody on something, as long as it's original which is kind of odd for a parody... Well, you can do fantasy that's the important thing, and when you're done with the story PM it to me and I'll send it to all the judges that I get to join. (you can be a contestant and a judge)
