Hello poets and writers!

I invite you to submit to our poetry journal, Ricochet Review. We are a poetry journal based at Von Steuben High School in Chicago, Illinois. We are a student led editorial board, supported by our school, mentors, and advisors from around the city. We are an annual journal, publishing a new issue of poetry every year through the submissions we receive. We choose a different theme every year, including: Oulipo, Translation, The Grotesque and Macabre, and Prose. This year’s theme is Verse poetry. This includes, but is not limited to: ballads, odes, sonnets, haikus, pantoums, ghazals, cinquains, villanelles, limericks, lunes, triolets, senryus, etc.

If you are interested, please visit our website (look up Ricochet Review, we are the first link). Go to the submissions tab in which you will be directed to our platform, Submittable. Once you make an account, you are able to submit up to 5 poems in one submission with a cover letter. Please distinguish which verse you are submitting, as well the category of the submitter: high school student, college student, non-student, or translators. The editorial board will review your submission and you will be notified in 2-3 weeks on the status of your submission.

If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you for your time, we look forward to your submissions!
