Some of the points he makes are valid, but still, I love "As I Walked Out One Evening".

I remember reading it for the first time and getting punched in the gut by the melodramatic turn halfway through. But then, emotional response alone doesn't validate a poem. If emotional response was the only thing that mattered, then Nicholas Sparks would be this generation's greatest author/screenwriter.
